In 2025, Amsterdam will celebrate its 750th anniversary and Sail will take part with a spectacular tenth edition from 20–24 August.
The theme "United by Waves" brings together this maritime celebration, with the splendor and pageantry of the sea at its core.
Since the first edition in 1975, Sail has grown into the largest freely accessible event in the Netherlands, which attracted an impressive 2.3 million visitors in 2015. Visitors can look forward to remarkable ships such as the B.A.P. Uniòn from Peru and the Alexander Von Humboldt II from Germany. Under the leadership of Chairman Arie Jan de Waard, this event promises cultural togetherness and unforgettable moments on the water. Let yourself be carried along by the waves of unity during Sail 2025!
